Simon Irving practices in the areas of Civil Litigation, Personal Injury and Real Estate. Through meeting with clients and learning about them personally, he can assist to help them through difficult times and tackle the issues they currently face. Furthermore, being able to advocate on their behalf, Simon can ensure that his clients understand and comprehend the legal process, while delivering effective results.
In his spare time Simon enjoys hiking the many beautiful trails on Vancouver Island and shopping at the numerous farmers markets on the weekends.
Simon was raised in the interior of BC but came to love the Island from a young age and moved to Nanaimo in 2015 to commence his articles with Johnston Franklin Bishop. Simon was called to the bar in June 2016 and has appeared in both the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia.
Prior to commencing his articles he completed his Juris Doctorate in 2015 from the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Law and attained his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2012 from the University of British Columbia. While in law school, Simon worked with the UBC Law Students Legal Advice Program to provide legal assistance to low income individuals and in the summer for a women’s crisis centre to provide much needed legal representation in difficult times.
