Stuart has built a successful practice in the area of ICBC and Injury claims where he only acts for plaintiffs. His practice also includes Estate and Civil Litigation matters. Stuart has successfully represented clients at all levels of court in British Columbia including the Provincial Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. He has also represented clients at Residential Tenancy Board hearings.
Stuart has conducted numerous trials throughout the years and prides himself on being able to effectively advocate for his clients in the courtroom.
Stuart was born and raised in Port Alberni, British Columbia, where his family has long and extensive roots. He graduated from Alberni District Secondary School in 2003.
In 2007, Stuart completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in criminology at Malaspina University-College (now Vancouver Island University) in Nanaimo. After graduating, he worked for a Vancouver Island Member of Parliament before enrolling in the University of Victoria’s Faculty of Law in 2008. While in law school, Stuart completed summer articles at a well-known personal injury firm in Victoria. Upon obtaining his J.D. in 2011, he articled with Johnston Franklin in Nanaimo. He was called to the bar of British Columbia on September 6, 2012 and has worked for Johnston Franklin Bishop ever since.
Outside of work, Stuart enjoys sampling the finest craft beers, cooking, working on vehicles, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and son.
